In Greek mythology, naiads (pronounced NY-ads) are freshwater nymphs – spirits of rivers, springs and fountains. Associated with beauty, vitality and flowing life force, they were believed to dwell in and protect the waters they inhabited. This limited batch came about when one of our natural essential oils expressed itself differently than usual – lighter, more nuanced, and unexpectedly beautiful. Rather than trying to recreate what had been, we chose to honour the variation and bottle it just as it was. The result is an oil designed to be worn generously: on skin, through hair, and as part of slower, more grounding daily rituals. As with all natural compositions, the layered notes unfold uniquely on each wearer. In contact with warm skin, they mingle with your own chemistry — creating a scent that is entirely your own. Uses & Directions: Massage into warm skin after bathing, focusing on arms, shoulders, décolletage, legs or anywhere you want to moisturise and allow scent to linger gently. Can be used daily, intuitively, and generously. Also beautiful as a lightly-perfumed scalp massage oil:Apply a small amount to the scalp, massage slowly, and leave for at least 20 minutes (or overnight) before washing. The aroma makes the ritual feel restorative rather than functional, especially lovely before bed.   Key ingredients/benefits: RICE BRAN: Rich in natural plant sterols and antioxidant gamma oryzanol, rice branimparts rich plant nutrition to your skin. It’s notoriously soothing for sensitive skin which is easily irritated. GRAPESEED OIL: Along with the rice bran oil and matcha green tea, a touch of grapeseed oil completes the base of the formulation. Full of vitamin E, it acts as a light moisturiser without overloading the skin. ESSENTIAL OILS: No synthetic fragrance, only plant power, distilled and extracted from petals, leaves, fruits, resins and bark. AQUAMARINE CRYSTALS: Aquamarine is associated with a calming, cooling sensation.
